Finance and Accounting

This class focuses on general accounting principles and theories. Topics reviewed including basic accounting terminology and practices, debits, credits, revenue, expenses, net income, the accounting cycle, ledgers and trial balances. Students will also learn to read a financial report and prepare a budget.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median annual salary for IS managers as of May 2015 was $131,600. Ph.D. in Information Systems Management programs are rarely offered entirely due to some on-campus requirements. Students generally complete coursework as distance-learners and make presentations and defend a dissertation in person.
