Master of Science in Quality Management

An M.S. in Quality Management teaches students about controlling and designing quality products, as well as managing individuals to improve a business' control, productivity and function. Enrollment requirements for the master's degree program include a bachelor's degree. Only a few programs are available in quality management or related subjects, such as quality assurance.

The master's degree program in quality management, available entirely online, takes about two years to complete. To access the online program and complete courses, students log onto Blackboard, where they follow lectures posted by professors. They also respond to discussion prompts, complete assignments and conduct research online.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (www.bls.gov), the demand for industrial production managers is expected to decline by four percent between 2014 and 2024. The median annual salary for production managers in 2015 was $93,940. Management analysts made a median of $81,320.

Master of Science in Quality Management

A master's degree in quality management could lead to a career in industrial product management or management analysis. Salaries for industrial product managers vary depending upon the industry one enters. According to 'Payscale.com', in 2016 the median annual salary for product management directors was $135,856.

It is possible to find both bachelor's and master's degree programs in quality management fully online, although such programs are limited in availability. Many of these programs require an internship, but the rest of the coursework is all online.
