Rutgers University

At Rutgers University, students in the Psy.D. program are able to gain a diverse education by creating individualized fields of study with classes in other related disciplines, such as education, management, and medicine.

U.S. News and World Report recognized Rutgers University in 2020 by ranking it 22nd among public schools and 62nd among all national colleges and universities. The school's graduate clinical psychology program was tied at #50. The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology offers three Doctor of Psychology tracks with emphases on hands-on clinical training, including clinical, school, and organizational psychology.

Baylor University

Baylor University's Psy.D. in clinical psychology offers students training in both academic and professional psychology, as well as around 3,000 hours of clinical experience and 1,000 hours of research experience. In 1971, the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience established the nation's second Doctor of Psychology program. Hofstra University

Hofstra University offers a Psy.D. in School-Community Psychology. On the Long Island campus of Hofstra University, students can earn a Psy.D. in School-Community Psychology, which trains students to work as psychologists in educational settings or human services organizations. In particular, the program emphasizes the importance of a strong connection between the school and the broader community when dealing with mental health issues.
