Florida State University (FSU) offers close to 300 degree options. FSU's Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program includes foundational courses in technical communication and information services. Students may choose a specialty through electives in areas such as security and social informatics. The culminating degree requirement includes a project, and students may complete an internship.

The Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology's core coursework examines usability and information requirements, and some of the many elective options include courses on web applications, information retrieval and information security.
