The University of Jamestown, which changed its name from Jamestown College in 2013, is a 4-year Presbyterian college that enrolls about 1,000 students per year. The Computer Science and Technology Department offers degree programs in information technology, computer science and management information science. The university's business administration program also offers a concentration in information technology.

In the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program, students learn how computers can be applied to different fields, such as education and business. Students are prepared to understand user needs by studying modern technology. Courses include Web development, database management, networking and Java programming.
