Belmont University, which includes the Jack C. Massey College of Business Administration, enrolls approximately 6,900 students a year and has a student-teacher ratio of 13:1. The College of Business offers a BBA in nine different areas, including international business; Bachelor of Science programs in economics and international economics are also available. Non-business majors can complete an 18-credit minor; graduate students may be interested in the 12-month, accelerated Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. The 128-credit international business curriculum includes an 18-credit business tool component with courses in accounting, business law, economics and entrepreneurship. To fulfill the 18-credit business core, undergraduates take classes in management and marketing principles, business ethics and finance, international business and management information systems. They also complete nine credits from one of seven areas of emphasis, such as finance or management, and 12 credits in a foreign language. Additional requirements include 12 credits of electives in international business, which can allow for the study of comparative economic systems and politics, capital markets or international relations, among other closely related topics.
