Arizona State University conferred nearly 19,000 degrees in the 2012-2013 academic year, with about 14,000 being at the undergraduate level. ASU has a student-to-faculty ratio at 23 to 1 and it retains greater than 80% of its first-time students enrolled on a full-time basis.
Students pursuing an education in marketing at Arizona State will find the marketing programs in the School of Business' marketing department. Programs offered include a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, multiple MBAs allowing for marketing emphases and a PhD in Business Administration with a focus on marketing.
The BS program includes courses such as advertising management, digital marketing and international business. Optional concentrations are available in digital and integrated marketing communications or professional sales. The full-time MBA program offers a specialization in strategic marketing and services leadership. Some courses included in the MBA marketing specialization are brand strategy and new service development. The part-time and online MBA programs allow for a marketing concentration as well.
The PhD program's marketing concentration includes courses in a seminar format that examine services science and consumer behavior, among other topics. In addition to an intensive focus on research and a dissertation project, doctoral students work as teaching assistants.
