Madison Area Technical College (MATC) has five locations around the Madison area and four regional campuses scattered around the southern part of Wisconsin. MATC serves about 40,000 students annually and offers nearly 140 technical and academic programs. According to MATC, almost 90% of its graduates find employment within six months of graduation.

The Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology - Web Software Developer program prepares students for entry-level careers in programming or web analysis. Courses include IT security, website development, database programming and careers in IT. Students learn software applications such as Microsoft ASP.NET and languages such as XHTML, C# and JavaScript.

The 12-credit web page design certificate program is for students who have a technical background and an associate's degree or comparable work experience. Students learn about visual effects, WordPress, and advanced web page design.

Students must earn six credits to complete an IT - PHP Professional Web Developer Certificate. Classes focus on using PHP programming language to create complex web applications.
