With a main campus in Chicago, about 26 miles from Schaumburg, and four additional campuses in the city and suburbs, DePaul is the nation's largest Catholic university. Computer graphics-related degree programs are available through the College of Computing and Digital Media, which serves about 4,000 students. Majors and minors are offered in areas such as computer science, graphic design, computer game development and animation.
Students in the Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics and Motion Technology program can gain a variety of animation and computer graphics skills, including visual communication, digital photography, programming and 3-dimensional modeling. Students can choose a concentration in technical design or development. The Bachelor of Science in Interactive Media program focuses on a combination of technical and artistic skills. Students may take courses in typography, art history, visual design, game development, interactive media scripting and user-computer interaction. Graduate students may enroll in the Master of Science in Computer Graphics and Motion Technology program. This program emphasizes technical skills in software development and graphics production with applications in a variety of fields. Students may choose a concentration in technical direction, development or visualization.
