Central New Mexico Community College has an enrollment of around 30,000 students. This institution offers its associate's degrees and certificates through its six schools, which include the School of Applied Technologies. The architectural drafting programs are taken at CNM's Advanced Technology Center location, also found within the city of Albuquerque.

The School of Applied Technologies offers a 66-69-credit Associate of Applied Science in Architectural Drafting Technology and a 35-37-credit Certificate of Completion in Architectural Drafting Technology. Both programs include many of the same drafting-related courses, including commercial drafting, building materials and software applications. Students in either program can also elect to complete independent study courses, internships and cooperative education experiences. The associate's program includes some additional courses, like commercial drafting, studio arts and drawing, as well as general education requirements.
