Creighton University is a private, Jesuit university located near the downtown business district of Omaha, Nebraska, which is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Founded in 1898, it is divided into nine undergraduate, graduate and professional schools and colleges. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest and oldest college in the school. Students can choose from among the college's more than 50 majors, one of which is a bachelor's degree program in graphic design.
Courses within the Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design program focus on digital video, Web design, media ethics, typography and interactive media design. Students are also required to complete core journalism courses in professional writing, information concepts and computer science. They can also partake in a visual communications internship, where they work at supervised graphic design jobs. Students in this program are also able to work towards earning Apple certification in Final Cut Pro at one of the school's Apple Authorized Training Centers.
