The University of California - San Diego (UCSD) was ranked tenth in the nation among best public schools in 2017, according to U.S. News & World Report. USCD offers a bookkeeping course that is endorsed by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB). The stand-alone program is offered through the extension school and is designed to prepare students for the exam to earn the Certified Bookkeeper credential. At Brigham Young University, students can earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accountancy or a Master of Accountancy (MAcc). Although the BS program includes general education classes, students are required focus their coursework almost entirely on accounting during their junior year.
