Students who are interested in business and commerce can find graduate programs leading to master's and doctoral degrees at two Ivy League schools: Harvard University and Dartmouth College. Seattle University, a private Catholic school, offers a unique undergraduate program in e-commerce and information systems. Another notable school is Duke University, which offers MBA programs and multiple scheduling formats.

Each of these schools was nationally or regionally ranked by U.S. News and World Report for 2017.

Harvard University in Cambridge, MA

Harvard University founded the world's first MBA program in 1908.

The Harvard Business School awards a Master of Business Administration, a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). Doctoral students can choose from focused studies in operations management and technology, strategy, marketing, and management; specializations also include accounting, health policy management, organizational behavior, and business economics.

The business school was ranked #1 by U.S. News and World Report for 2017.

Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH

The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College boasts lively classrooms and open discourse in the learning experience. Tuck offers joint-degrees in business administration, like the MD/MBA, Master Public Health/MBA, and PhD/MBA. Dual-degrees are also offered in tandem with other institutions. A small student body is seen as one of the special characteristics of the college's MBA program.

The school was tied for #8 on the U.S. News and World Report list of the best business schools for 2017.

Seattle University in Seattle, WA

U.S. News and World Report ranked Seattle University #8 among regional universities in the West for 2017.

This university offers a B.A. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Economics. Minors are available in a variety of areas, such as accounting, economics, finance, and international economic development. MBA degrees can be obtained as a professional MBA, bridge MBA, or a leadership executive MBA. A Master of Professional Accounting and a Master of Science in Economics are available, in addition to a Master of Professional Accounting/Master of Science in Finance joint-degree.

Certificate areas of specialization include accounting, business valuation, global business, internal audit, and quantitative economic analysis.

Duke University in Durham, NC

Duke University's Fuqua School of Business was one of the world's first global business schools. In addition to a traditional, full-time daytime MBA program, Duke University offers a cross-continent MBA and a global executive MBA that combine residencies and distance learning in order to meet the needs of working professionals. There is also a weekend executive MBA program based in Durham.

The school also offers two Master of Management Studies programs that provide basic business education, as well as a Master of Quantitative Management program. Within Duke's PhD program, students can focus their training in accounting, decision sciences, finance, marketing, management, operations management, and strategy.

For 2017, the school was tied for #12 among business schools per U.S. News and World Report.
