University of Miami in Coral Gables is situated on a campus covering nearly 240 acres. The university offers close to 300 different degree programs across its 9 colleges and schools. UM enrolls around 17,000 students and has a low student-to-faculty ratio of 12 to 1.
University of Miami's School of Business offers a Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, MBA options and a Ph.D. in Business Administration. The BSBA and BBA require at least 120 credits and have a business core that includes courses on finance, behavior and econometrics. Undergraduate students have several major options such as entrepreneurship, management, marketing and accounting.
The full-time MBA program can be competed within either 1 or 2 years. Some required core courses for both the 1-year and 2-year options include strategic marketing, information systems and legal issues. UM also offers the Executive MBA with classes on Saturdays and the Professional MBA with classes on Saturdays and Monday evenings for busy professionals. The Ph.D. program features 8 different available concentration areas, with some including international business, marketing and accounting. Some Ph.D. core courses cover research methods, statistics and economics.
