In the role of an advertising account coordinator, you may work for an advertising agency or marketing services firm and assist with advertising campaigns for local, regional, or national clients. You could work with clients from a variety of industries, such as automotive or retail, and you will work with a variety of in-house personnel, such as account executives, sales staff and the creative team.

As an advertising account coordinator, you'll need to thoroughly understand a client's products or services and what their goals are for an ad campaign. Job duties for this position may include providing input for the creation and execution of marketing plans, gathering data on ad campaigns to evaluate performance, and giving recommendations on ways to improve campaign performance. You may be tasked with tracking campaign budgets, gathering information on the competition, and ensuring that ad campaigns are in compliance with advertising laws. You could also be responsible for checking text and graphics for ads, as well as collaborating with creative personnel until ads are aired or uploaded.
