Students participate in an internship experience and have the opportunity to attend conferences and workshops. They can also pursue international study in the field. The program offers tracks in addictionology and trauma, which also help determine a student's internship placement. Students are also expected to complete a thesis project that focuses on their area of specialization.

Pratt Institute

They must also complete a thesis. Students in the low residency format participate in forums throughout the fall and spring semesters to stay connected to the program.

Long Island University

The program includes coursework from the clinical art therapy program and the Department of Counseling and Development. Students in the program complete and present a thesis project and participate in an internship that totals 350 hours. Students are also expected to display their personal artwork at least twice a year in art shows at campus galleries.

The College of New Rochelle
