Several of the Baptist schools listed below offer athletic scholarships and have organizations like the Fellowship of Christian Athletes which can help nurture the students' faith and religious life. Some schools also require students to earn chapel attendance credits before graduation.

Carson-Newman University

Carson-Newman University's NCAA Division II baseball team had a record of 28-22 for the 2018 season. The team qualified for the NCAA Central Region championship game. Student athletes will need to enroll in the NCAA Clearinghouse in order to become eligible for financial aid. The university offers many other student organizations, such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Carson-Newman awards bachelor's degrees in areas like business administration and physical education and exercise science, as well as master's degrees in business administration and counseling. The university holds chapel services every week at various schedules, mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings which help students to attend during the most convenient time for them.

Houston Baptist University

Houston Baptist University offers bachelor's and master's degrees in kinesiology with concentrations in sports or wellness management. Other areas of study include electrical engineering, finance, and mass media arts. The university's club activities include a Student Athletic Advisory Committee, various honor societies, and an American Red Cross chapter. As part of their curriculum, students will need to complete 80 community life and worship credits for graduation, with 50 of those from convocation. Students can continue to strengthen their faith through organizations like the Baptist Student Ministry. The Huskies baseball team finished the 2018 season with a record of 29-30.

Hardin-Simmons University

Hardin-Simmons University seeks to provide many opportunities for spiritual formation. Students must complete 80 chapel credits in order to graduate. Chapel services are held on Tuesdays at 9:30 AM, with additional opportunities to earn credit through concerts and assemblies. In addition to spiritual formation opportunities, Hardin-Simmons has a student government association and FreshCo, which helps new students acclimate to a Baptist college life. Undergraduate degrees include athletic training, computer science, and economics while graduate options include a master of education in kinesiology, sport, and recreation and a master of business administration. During the 2018 baseball season, the Hardin-Simmons University baseball team only experienced two losses out of the 43 games they participated in.

North Greenville University

The North Greenville University's baseball team finished the 2018 season with a record of 46-10. Student athletes are eligible for financial aid awarded by the team coach, as well as a scholarship for those pursuing a sports ministry degree. Intercultural studies, sports management, and marketing are a few of the bachelor's degree options and master's degrees are available in music education and business administration, among others. Chapel services are held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:00 AM and incorporate prayer, musical selections, and interpretive movement. North Greenville offers various opportunities for students to strengthen their leadership skills, such as seminars and FYE Mentors, which provides upperclassmen mentors for freshmen students.

Central Baptist College

Central Baptist College awards bachelor's degrees in areas such as kinesiology (exercise science and sports management), English, accounting, and health and physical education. Outside of the classroom, students can participate in organizations like the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a student activities board. The Mustangs' baseball team holds a record of five seasons with at least 30 winning games. Central Baptist College requires that full-time students attend chapel on Wednesdays at 1:00 PM.
