Sales Manager

Sales managers must have great communication and leadership skills in order to efficiently lead their teams of sales associates. These qualities are also normally possessed by those with type D personalities. In addition, they work with customers to resolve any issues that arise, train staff, and come up with new plans to find new customers. Sales managers must have a bachelor's degree and experience in sales.

Chief Executive Officer

Like many people with type D personalities, chief executive officers have excellent leadership skills and can make decisions quickly in order to manage their teams and make sure goals are met. They organize contracts and agreements, manage sales reports and finances, and find ways to improve the organization. Chief executive officers must have at least a bachelor's degree and usually need managerial experience.

Construction Manager

Construction managers plan, budget, and lead construction projects. They must be able to utilize their leadership and decision making skills to efficiently run their job sites. Construction managers supervise workers and subcontractors to ensure work is done in a timely manner to meet budget expectations. Normally construction managers need to have a bachelor's degree in a construction-related field; however, some have many years of experience with only a high school diploma.


Lawyers represent clients on legal issues they are facing, understand laws and regulations, and prepare legal documents. Those with a type D personality would make excellent lawyers as they must work well under pressure and work quickly to adequately represent their clients. Lawyers must be knowledgeable in facts related to the case to make decisions on how to proceed with their clients. Lawyers must have a law degree and pass a bar examination.

Police Officer

Police officers must have great leadership skills and be able to work quickly under pressure to make difficult decisions. Type D personality types fit this occupation because they are put in a position to be recognizable community members who must be able to help in emergency situations and make quick decisions that may save lives or keep others safe. Police officers are responsible for enforcing laws and patrolling areas to ensure safety as well as arresting suspects and collecting any evidence that might need to be presented in trial. Police officers must at least have a high school diploma and normally need to complete a training academy.
