The schools highlighted below offer a variety of undergraduate and graduate business programs, all of which can be completed online from anywhere in the world. Each school offers financial benefits to military students, offers specialized academic support, and accepts transfer credit via Joint Service Transcript (JST).

Penn State World Campus

Penn State's World Campus offers 59 online business programs including associate's, bachelor's, master's, and undergrad and graduate certificates. The program was recognized as one of the best military-friendly online schools by Military Times, U.S. News & World Report and Military Advanced Education & Transition.

Financial benefits for military students include an undergraduate application fee waiver and the Military Grant-in-Aid Program, a tuition reduction of up to 44% on undergraduate degree programs, which brings education costs closer to the Department of Defense Tuition Assistance cap. Penn State employs a dedicated, full-time support team specializing in military students; this team can assist students with questions about admissions and the school's various academic programs. Online students at Penn State are an integral part of the school's worldwide alumni network of over 673,000. The World Campus has its own chapter of the Penn State Blue & White Society, where students can interact with members of the Penn State Alumni Association.

Amridge University

Amridge University offers eight associate's, bachelor's and master's degree programs. Concentrations include business administration, human resources, information systems management and leadership and management.

Active military and military spouse students receive the school's lowest available tuition rates. Air Force students can take advantage of the school's partnership with Community College of the Air Force to receive fully online baccalaureate degrees relevant to Air Force careers. Amridge University was recognized by Military Friendly as a Top 10 Gold Military Friendly school.

Western Governors University

Western Governors University offers 14 online bachelor's and master's degree programs with business concentrations. The school was named a Best Value School by University Research & Review from 2014 to 2017, and was also recognized by the United States Distance Learning Association in 2017 for excellence in distance education.

WGU is the only institution whose total curriculum is competency-based. This model has students progress at the pace of their own mastery in lieu of a traditional semester schedule. Military students using federal Tuition Assistance can pursue degree programs either full-time or part-time (students not using TA may only pursue full-time programs). Military students are also eligible for the $2,000 WGU Military Appreciation Scholarship.

Southern New Hampshire University Online

Southern New Hampshire University's online campus offers over 90 undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs, including 29 unique MBA concentrations. Military students receive tuition discounts of up to 30% off online degree programs.

SNHU allows students to transfer academic credits via traditional accreditation institutions like ACE and NCCRS, as well as through the school's portfolio assessment program. With portfolio assessment, SNHU partners with Learning Counts to evaluate students' prior experience and military training that may not be covered through traditional accreditation channels. The school also offers several online support services including tutoring, career services, a writing center, and an online student union through SHNUconnect.

Arizona State University

Arizona State University offers 35 online undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs in business. In 2017, U.S. News & World Report named ASU the #3 best school for online bachelor's degree programs and online Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs.

Military students are eligible for DoD Tuition Assistance, as well as four additional scholarships offered specifically to active duty and veteran applicants. ASU demonstrates devotion to supporting military students with the Office for Veteran and Military Academic Engagement. This office seeks to promote conversations and cultivate stronger relationships between military and civilian students. The school also features the Pat Tillman Veterans Center, which provides both online and on-campus military students with a range of advising services including benefits paperwork, transfer credits and academic support.

University of Maryland University College

The University of Maryland University College offers 34 online undergraduate and graduate business programs, including accounting, management, finance, human resources, and cybersecurity management. Undergraduate tuition rates for military students start at $250 per credit hour (compared to $294 for in-state undergraduates). Military students also taking advantage of federal Tuition Assistance can cover up to 100% of tuition costs.

The University of Maryland has over 140 locations on or near bases around the world where military students can meet with faculty advisors. The school also hosts 20 stateside locations where students can attend hybrid classes. The school employs 17 dedicated full-time advisors who help military and veteran students choose programs and create degree plans before submitting applications. Since 2011, the school has received 11 awards for offering military-friendly programs.

Drexel University Online

Drexel University Online offers four undergraduate and graduate business degree programs. Military students enrolling in these programs receive tuition discounts of 25-40% in addition to Federal Tuition Assistance. The school was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the ''Best Value Colleges of 2018''.

Drexel University employs a staff of dedicated online enrollment counselors specializing in military-affiliated students. The school offers several online academic support and extracurricular offerings including a library, career center and various study abroad programs.
