Retail Salesperson

Retail salespeople sell many types of goods including clothes, books, furniture, and so much more. They are responsible for helping customers find what they need, taking payment for purchases, restock shelves with merchandise, and advertise current sales. Retail salespeople complete on-the-job training and do not need a formal education.

Insurance Sales Agent

Insurance sales agents inform customers about various insurance policies and sell them to best fit their needs. They periodically check over current policies to ensure it still fits the lifestyle of the individual and recommend any changes. These sales agents are also responsible for maintaining past documents and records. Insurance sales agents typically do not need any formal education past a high school diploma; however some do decide to earn a bachelor's degree to become more desirable to employers.

Advertising Sales Agent

Advertising sales agents sell places to advertise for people and businesses. They work with clients to figure out what and how they want to advertise, give an estimate of the costs, and provide samples. Once a client agrees to work with them, they create an advertisement to be approved and finally sign a sales contract. Advertising sales agents only need a high school diploma.

Travel Agent

Travel agents sell different forms of travel including transportation, hotel rooms, and vacation packages. They take what a customer wants and build an itinerary including where they will be staying, how they will get there, and what they will do. Travel agents also ensure that customers have all documentation needed for their travels and prepare them for their trip. To become a travel agent, applicants only need a high school diploma.

Cashier

Cashiers play an important part in the sales business, because they handle purchases of goods and services. They also need to have knowledge of the products and services being sold, to answer any questions that customers may have. They also handle any returns customers bring back. Cashiers do not need a formal education and are trained on-the-job.

Real Estate Broker

A real estate broker help others buy, sell, and rent property. They help clients understand prices, how the market works, and guides them through contracts. In addition, they list and advertise properties, show available homes for sale, and help with negotiations. Real estate brokers only need a high school education; however they must be licensed by taking real estate courses and an exam.
