Answer:
While there is no computer engineering concentration offered through MBA programs, obtaining an advanced education in business administration can prove beneficial to computing professionals. Through MBA programs students will develop valuable business skills (e.g. management, finance). Additional learning of business acumen can result in individuals qualifying for more desirable positions. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the combination of computing and business skills are among the most sought after skills by employers while an MBA ranked as the most in-demand advanced degree. Other bachelor's degrees valued by employers are:
- Accounting
- Engineering (mechanical, electrical)
- Computer science
- Computer engineering
- Business administration/management
- Finance/economics
- Information sciences/systems
- Management information systems
- Marketing/marketing management
Although there is no computer engineering concentration offered as part of MBA programs, many schools offer joint MBA and MS degree programs for students interested in obtaining an education in business administration and computer engineering or computer science.
