To practice as a chiropractor, you will need a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C) degree and a license to practice as a chiropractor.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are 15 Doctor of Chiropractic programs that are accredited by The Council on Chiropractic Education in the United States. Most D.C. programs require a minimum of 90 credits of college education for admission, though some require completion of a bachelor's degree. Requirements for licensure as a chiropractor vary by state, but they all include successfully completing a D.C. program and passing all four parts of the national Board of Chiropractic Examiners exam. Some states also require satisfactory completion of a background check and passing a jurisprudence exam. All states require continuing education to maintain licensure as a chiropractor. It is a good idea to contact the relevant regulatory body to find out what their requirements are for licensure.
