Answer:

In order to earn your Information Technology Professional (ITP) certification, you will need to take some required courses like:

  • ICD-10 and 5010 Mandate-A Technology View
  • Health Insurance 101: An Orientation
  • Overview of Payer IT, Part A
  • Overview of Payer IT, Part B

Every course has a fee and a varying amount of time it will take to complete the course. This varies from two to five hours and prices between $80-$255. To enroll in a course you will need to log into the AHIP website and browse their catalog of courses. From the catalog, you can choose which course to take and be taken through the steps of paying and enrolling. Once all courses are done you will be awarded with the ITP certificate. AHIP also recommends that you continue your education with their on-demand webinars. This way you keep up to date about health IT.
