Answer:
According to the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals' website, the food safety manager certificate is valid for up to 5 years. It is accredited by ANSI against Conference for Food Protection standards as well as ANSI against ISO 17024 standard.
Here is some additional information about the food safety manager certificate:
- This certification is targeted at workers in the food industry, such as wait staff, restaurant and commercial food service managers, chefs, bartenders, hosts and hostesses, students, cooks, and shift leaders
- The exam can be written in four different languages: English, Spanish, Chinese (both simplified and traditional), or Korean
- The exam is 80 questions in length, and you must pass it in order to receive the food safety manager certificate
- This certification is offered under two different formats: Food Safety Manager Certification Examination (FSMCE), which is accredited by the Conference of Food Protection (CFP), and International Certified Food Safety Manager (ICFSM), which is accredited by both the CFP standards and the ISO 17024 standard (both programs are valid in the United States)
