Answer:

According to Salary.com in January 2021, nail technicians in the state of Georgia have an average salary of $20,036 per year. This varies greatly, depending on the experience a technician holds, the environment in which they work, and other factors. Usually, this range falls between $17,701 and $23,101 (Salary.com). Although it is sometimes possible to work as a nail technician with only a high diploma or GED, nail techs who have completed an accredited certification program typically earn higher wages than their peers with less training. Such programs usually take 6-12 months to complete and are often done through vocational schools. In many cases, a prospective nail tech will need to complete an accredited program to qualify for a state-issued license.

In 2019, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that all U.S. nail technicians, along with all manicurists in the U.S., earn a median yearly income of $25,770 (or $12.39 per hour). By definition, the median income represents the 50th percentile of all nail techs, i.e. 50% of nail techs across the country earn less than the reported median pay, whereas the other 50% earn more.
