They are responsible for the discovery, estimation, understanding, and collection of adverse effect data on the products pf pharmaceutical companies, analyze the signals, and administer changes and warnings to labeling or to clinical trial protocols by performing a wide variety of tasks related to drug safety. Pharmacists can take the role of pharmacovigilance officer. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), pharmacists held about 314,300 jobs in 2018 and had a median salary of $128,090 per year, or $61.58 per hour, in May 2019. If one wants to be inclined in the research and development department of the medical world, this is a good career to pursue.
