American Public University is not accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology (ABET), but it is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. American Public University and American Military University are parts of the American Public University System (UPUS), a private, for-profit online education institution.
The School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math at American Public University offers an online Bachelor of Science in Electric Engineering. Students who are interested in joining the program do not have to pay any application fee and may transfer most of their credits. The program teaches students the most significant theories and concepts of Electric Engineering and allows them to have practical experiences that make them more effective in the workplace. Graduates will be prepared to implement the skills and knowledge they have acquired as soon as they start working. Students are expected to complete a total of 128 credits including those they may transfer. They have the opportunity to choose a concentration that corresponds to their educational and career goals and will allow them to be more focused.
