An online Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) is worth it if you are interested in opening up different opportunities for you to take on leadership roles and be more favorable for a promotion (according to the U.S. News & World Report). This sets you apart from co-workers that you may be competing with who only have a bachelor's in health administration.

It's a good time to be getting this type of degree as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the demand for medical and health services managers (which you will have access to if you get an MHA) will grow by 17% over the time period of 2014-2024, adding roughly 56,300 more jobs.

Some example jobs that you can do with a master's in health administration include being a medical or health services manager, health care social worker, medical records and health information technician, or administrative service manager.
