- Accountant or auditor: You will prepare and examine financial records to ensure that financial records are accurate and that taxes are paid properly and on time, including to assess financial operations and work to help ensure that organizations run efficiently. You may specialize as a forensic accountant where you will investigative techniques to determine if an activity is illegal. Alternatively as a lawyer you can work closely with forensic accountants and law enforcement personnel.
- Financial examiner: You will ensure compliance with laws governing financial institutions and transactions, including to review balance sheets, evaluate the risk level of loans, and assess bank management.
- Financial manager: You will be responsible for the financial health of an organization, including to create financial reports, direct investment activities, and develop plans for the long-term financial goals of an organization. You will be able to monitor financial details to ensure that legal requirements are met, as you will be expected to have knowledge of the topics, tax laws, and regulations that are specific to an organization or industry.
