Question:

What are some trade schools that accept FAFSA or TAP?

Perfect School Search

Answer:

Even though trade schools are well known for being much cheaper than 4-year universities, and normally shorter as well, there is still a cost that can be daunting to people trying to balance work and the idea of going to school. Obtaining a grant from a federal student aid program like FAFSA can be extremely helpful, and the FAFSA can be applied to trade schools. However, not all schools participate in federal student aid programs. This will vary from school to school and you will have to always check with your school. Luckily the US Department of Education's college search tool, College Navigator, is a tool you can use to find all career schools that will allow you to use the FAFSA, which will allow New York students to also apply for TAP. Note though that although the FAFSA can be used for many different trade schools, TAP is a New York only financial aid assistance and is only available for universities and community colleges.
