Answer:
Prospective students applying for admission to the University of South Carolina can apply by using the Common app, the Coalition app, or by accessing the application through the UofSC admissions page. The application should include an essay, activities list, and an unofficial high school transcript. A high school guidance counselor will need to submit a school report outlining the student's academic development. The school does not accept letters of recommendation unless applying for the South Carolina Honors College.
For the 2021-22 school year, applicants have 3 options for test scores. Option 1 is to self-report either an ACT or SAT score, option 2 is to self-report 3 exam scores from an approved exam list that can be found on the admissions page of UofSC, and for option 3 the student can submit a graded writing assignment.
Incoming freshmen also must have met the core requirements from the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education which consists of 4 units of English, 4 of math, 3 of science, 3 of social studies, 2 of foreign language, 1 of fine arts, and 2 academic electives.
The school accepts dual credit and Advanced Placement credits.
There is a non-refundable $65 application fee.
