A chiropractic radiology technician is a specialist that preforms technical bodily images to assist in the care of chiropractic patients. These professionals will also consult with health professionals, interpret radiologic exams, and, in some instances, serve as experts in medical litigation. Some of the imaging technologies that are utilized by radiology technicians include: magnetic resonance imaging, tomography, radiography, and ultrasonography. These technicians work in hospitals, private practices, or institutions. Prior to procedures, technicians communicate with patients and doctors regarding the procedure plan and prepare technology that will be utilized. After the procedure, technicians will consult with doctors on the results and keep detailed patient records.

Chiropractic radiology technicians usually have associate's degrees, which may be enhanced with additional studies in imaging specialties. Most states require radiology technicians to be licensed or certified. For an individual to be recognized by the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology, applicants must pass a two-part examination.
