Answer:

A history major is an undergraduate program of study that focuses on various time periods in world history. Students may be able to take a program of study in general history, which covers a variety of historical periods and locations. They also may be able to specialize in a certain area history, such as African American history, Asian history, the history of war and conflict, or women's history. Students will complete research projects on various topics as well as be asked to analyze and evaluate different historical events.

History is a broad major with many different applications. Students may have the opportunity to double major in another program, such as education, business, law, political science, or International Studies. They may also be able to add history as a minor to another major. This may be a good choice for students who want to improve their knowledge of a certain time period, location, or historical person.
