Things are changing every year and now, with the upcoming entrance of the Class of 2025, students can apply without having their standardized test scores. You can still choose to send your scores, and Harvard accepts both the ACT and SAT. You also now have the choice to not submit your essay portion of the exam. Despite these changes to how they view admission applications, we still have information about what kind of scores Harvard students had when they got accepted into Harvard. According to Prepscholar, the average SAT score is 1520 on the 1600 SAT scale which means you must score very high. With such a high average it is recommended that you prep and consider even obtaining tutoring for your SAT. AS for the ACT, the average falls at 34 out of 36 points. So again if you decide to report your scores when you apply for admission, you want to be sure to have a very high score.
