Why could online courses seem harder than regular college classes?
Question:
Why could online courses seem harder than regular college classes?

Answer:
Despite their expansive appeal for many students, online courses are certainly not a one-size-fits-all option. Many students may find online education more challenging than traditional learning because completing online coursework often takes more self-motivation and self-accountability, as there is no face-to-face interaction with the teacher and their peers. In fact, some students will complain of how hard it is to create and maintain a productive school schedule because of the extreme flexibility of virtual learning. In other situations, some students can find their online courses to be more difficult because the instructor is not immediately available to answer questions and explain more complicated, nuanced material, leaving students feeling confused and sometimes helpless. Although any online class can suffer from this issue, it is arguably more prominent in math-based and scientific-based courses, so students in math or scientific disciplines may need to seek additional assistance (using either a subject-appropriate tutor or reaching out to their teacher for more personalized guidance and instruction).
