Web Developer

As a web developer, you will be responsible for the creation of websites, which includes both the overall visual and design aspects of the website as well as the back-end technical construction. Web developers often work closely with clients to understand the purpose of the website, how they want it to function, what features they require, and how they want it to look. Some web developers may also continue their work on the website after it has been built in order to update it and perform maintenance. To become a web developer, you will typically need an associate's degree in web design.

Graphic Designer

Graphic designers are artists who create different types of visuals, graphics, and logos to represent different products and brands and to communicate messages. These designers often use computer software programs to create their designs, though some also work by hand. Graphic designers may be employed by a graphic design company in which they work on many different types of projects, while others may work as in-house designers for one company. To become a graphic designer, you will generally need a bachelor's degree in graphic design or in a closely related field.

Desktop Publisher

Desktop publishers are responsible for creating the layouts for various types of publications, both those that are available in print format and those exclusively online. To do this, they use computer software programs which allow them to create aesthetically pleasing layouts that includes considering the text of articles, graphics/images, and fonts. To become a desktop publisher, you will usually need an associate's degree in a field like graphic design.

Film and Video Editor

Film and video editors edit footage by using computer software programs. They often work in the film, music, and television industry, while others may edit content that is primarily put online. They are responsible for sorting and organizing all the footage in order to select the best pieces to use to create a finished project, whether that is a cohesive storyline in a TV show or a stylized music video. This job is highly creative and very visual, as there are many different stylistic choices these editors must make when editing a film or video. A bachelor's degree in a related field is usually required.

Multimedia Artist/Animator

As a multimedia artist or animator, you will work as an artist and create the characters, objects, and scenes that are depicted in animated films, TV shows, and video games. Some of these artists work first by hand before using software to translate the images to a digital format. These artists may specialize in a specific type of animation, like CGI for movies or in video game graphics. To become a multimedia artist and animator, you will typically need a bachelor's degree in a field like computer graphics or art.
