Christian colleges in Georgia have football teams that are associated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) or the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). These schools vary in size, spiritual growth opportunities and available degree programs. Find out about more about a few of the Georgia schools with football teams.

Point University

According to the NCES, Point University had a little over 1,950 undergraduate students in 2016. The university is home to the Skyhawk football team that is part of the NAIA. The school holds students to an honor code and promotes spiritual formation through community chapel, mentoring opportunities and Adventure Groups (small groups). Students at the university can pursue undergraduate and/or graduate degree programs in subjects like public administration, strategic management and leadership, Christian ministries, information technology, business transformation, nursing, biology, exercise science and music.

Shorter University

Shorter University offers graduate degree programs in business and pre-professional programs in areas including pre-vet, pre-dentistry and pre-law. Undergraduate degree programs in areas such as ecology and field biology, sports communication, church music, journalism and criminal justice are also available. In 2016, the NCES reported that the school had about 1,420 undergraduates. The Shorter Hawk football program is in the NCAA's Division II and holds an annual football camp. Football players and other student athletes may further develop their faith by participating in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). They can also attend chapel services with the rest of the university community or participate in Baptist Collegiate Ministries.

Clark Atlanta University

Clark Atlanta University is an NCAA Division II school and is home to the Panther football team. This Historically Black University had about 3,090 undergraduate students in 2016, per the NCES. Students at the university can pursue undergraduate and/or graduate degree programs in areas like education, social work, business, English, history and political science. The school also offers some unique 5-year programs where students earn a bachelor's and master's degree in areas like math, chemistry and physics. Students can deepen their faith by taking advantage of the wide range of pastoral services the school offers, including workshops, counseling and pastoral visits, and participating in different campus ministries, such as worship choir, Bible studies, intervarsity ministry or mime ministry.

LaGrange College

LaGrange College had close to 910 undergraduate students in 2016, according to the NCES. The school's football team is also the Panthers, but it is in the NCAA's Division III. The college offers undergraduate degree and pre-professional programs in areas like art and design, biochemistry, pharmacy, engineering, music, nursing, sociology and exercise science, as well as graduate degree programs in education, mental health counseling and strength and conditioning. Students may choose to further develop their faith by participating in various spiritual organizations on campus, such as FCA, Reformed Bible Fellowship and the Wesley Fellowship. Service groups, like Our Daily Bread, are also available.

Reinhardt University

Reinhardt University is another member of the NAIA and is home to the Eagles football team. The university offers undergraduate and/or graduate degree programs in a variety of fields, including creative writing, education, pre-physical therapy, communication, graphic design, theatre, math and biology. Spiritual life on campus consists of campus worship services, spiritual retreats and various religious clubs, such as men's and women's small groups, L.I.F.T. (Living in Faith Together) and Prayer Group. According to the NCES, the university had a little over 1,370 undergraduate students in 2016.
