Huntington University

Huntington University, located in Indiana, had close to 1,000 undergraduates in 2016, according to the NCES. The university's Digital Media Arts (DMA) Department offers a program in animation that prepares students for careers in video game design, motion graphics and more. Students in the program receive hands-on training in traditional animation skills and current, complex computer technology in the field. Students are also eligible to apply for the DMA Animation Grant to help pay for school. To encourage spiritual formation, the university has a verse of the year from the Bible and offers Bible studies, chapel services, mission opportunities and other service projects.

Oklahoma Christian University

Oklahoma Christian University offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Gaming and Animation that trains students in animation, game design, film and video. The major consists of 21 hours of core courses, 12 hours of courses in art and design history and 33 hours of coursework in gaming and animation, as well as some electives. In 2016, the NCES reported that the university had 1,960 undergraduates. The university offers a unique online Bible reading plan and devotionals written by students and faculty on campus, as well as chapel and worship services, mission trips and service opportunities.

Regent University

Regent University in Virginia helps its students deepen their faith through worship and chapel services, Life Groups, service outreach opportunities and Campus Ministry that encourages students to journey in, out, upward and together in their faith. The school has a Bachelor of Arts in Animation degree program that features training on how to create business plans with a budget and marketing techniques for animation ideas. Students in the program participate in workshops, internship opportunities and complete the program with a culminating project. According to the NCES, the university had 3,580 undergraduate students in 2016.

George Fox University

George Fox University in Oregon offers a major in cinematic arts with a concentration in animation. This program provides students with hands-on learning experiences from pre- to post-production and gives students access to state-of-the-art labs and industry-standard software. The university had close to 2,710 undergraduates in 2016, per the NCES. Students can further develop their faith through weekly chapel services, Bible studies, fellowship groups, spiritual plays and concerts, service projects and the required 9-12 credits of Bible and religion classes.

Grand Canyon University

Arizona's Grand Canyon University had about 46,300 undergraduate students (including online students) in 2016, per the NCES. The university offers a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Design with an emphasis in animation in online, on-campus and evening formats. Students in the program learn about the various animation techniques, such as photography, drawing and typography, as well as how to operate and manage a design studio. The university's Department of Spiritual Life provides students with weekly chapel services, Bible studies, Life Groups and local and global outreach programs. The school also has GCU Hope that offers spiritual encouragement through videos and messages.
