Santa Clara University

Santa Clara University had close to 2,990 graduate students in 2016, per the NCES, and offers master's and doctoral degree programs. Students can choose from areas of study in law, theology, counseling, educational leadership, bioengineering, business administration, software engineering, Biblical languages and more. The campus offers several unique sacred spaces for students to pray or meditate, including the Meditation Room or St. Clare Garden, as well as religious studies courses, immersion programs and religious clubs to help students grow spiritually. The school's campus ministry also provides students with spiritual retreats, service and leadership opportunities and a graduate student ministry for graduate students to build community.

Point Loma Nazarene University

Students at Point Loma Nazarene University can pursue various master's degree and post-master's certificate programs as well as a doctorate program in nursing practice. Some areas of study include kinesiology, business administration, ministry, athletic training, special education and organizational leadership. Many of the university's programs are available online, in the evenings or in part-time formats for flexibility. The school's Office of Spiritual Development offers several different spiritual growth opportunities, such as D-groups, spiritual mentoring, LoveWorks, Ministry with Mexico and Holistic Discipleship. In 2016, the NCES reported that the university had a little over 1,100 graduate students.

Chapman University

Chapman University is home to the unique Fish Interfaith Center where various spiritual events occur and students of all religions can reflect and meditate. The school also has several spiritual student organizations on campus, including Disciples on Campus (DOC), Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), Health and Healing and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. The university had a little over 2,130 graduate students in 2016, according to the NCES, and offers master's and doctoral degree programs. Students can pursue study in many different areas, like creative writing, accounting, data sciences, food science, film production, marriage and family therapy, pharmacy, law, education and physical therapy.

Pepperdine University

According to the NCES, Pepperdine University had close to 4,290 graduate students in 2016, which was more than the number of undergraduates enrolled that year. The school offers graduate certificate, master's and doctoral degree programs in subjects like law, business administration, divinity, public policy, psychology, strategic communication, education, applied analytics and ministry. For students' spiritual lives, the school offers service opportunities and a campus ministry while also incorporating Christian foundations and spiritual opportunities into each graduate program. For example, the School of Law has an Interfaith Council, Bible studies and spiritual life advisors to serve its diverse population of students from different religious backgrounds.

Vanguard University of Southern California

Vanguard University of Southern California provides various spiritual outreach opportunities and weekly chapel services that include worship and teachings to help students grow spiritually. In 2016, the NCES reported that the school had a little over 300 graduate students, and according to the school's website, 86% of graduate students receive some form of financial aid. Students can pursue master's degree programs in nursing, theology, organizational psychology, education, leadership studies or clinical psychology. The master's degree program in leadership studies is also offered online, and many graduate courses are available in the evenings or on weekends for working professionals.
