Description of the Christian Graduate Schools in Washington State

Whitworth University offers master's degree programs and post-master's certificate programs. Students can pursue study in counseling and therapy, administration and leadership, education, theology, athletic training and business. The NCES reported that the school had close to 340 graduate students in fall 2016. To foster students' spiritual lives, the school holds weekly Chapel Community Worship services, as well as Tuesday night Hosanna worship services. Students can also participate in Life Groups, AWAKE ministries and other service opportunities.
Faith International University
According to the NCES, Faith International University enrolled about 290 graduate students in 2016. The school provides master's degree programs in divinity, Christian education, Christian counseling, theological studies and leadership ministry, as well as a graduate certificate in leadership. The school also has a unique Korean Division and Chinese Division with programs completely in each respective language. Faith International University prides itself on being multicultural and multigenerational and helping students develop life-long relationships. The school does uphold a Biblical code of conduct that requires students to adhere to various Biblical attitudes and actions.
Seattle Pacific University
In 2016, Seattle Pacific University had about 970 graduate students, per the NCES. The school's Office of University Ministries includes Campus Ministries, that offer campus pastors and discipleship opportunities, and the John Perkins Center, which is focused on service and leadership development. Through Campus Ministries, students can participate in men's and women's ministries, Group, chapel services and other spiritual growth opportunities. The university provides students with a wide range of certificate, master's and doctoral degree programs in areas like cybersecurity, marriage and family therapy, creative writing, nursing, school counseling, education, Christian studies and clinical psychology.
Pacific Lutheran University
Pacific Lutheran University's campus ministry provides a variety of weekly chapel services at the University Chapel for students wishing to grow their faith, as well as an interfaith chapel service and interfaith working groups for students, faculty and staff from all background to grow in community. Campus ministry also has a portable labyrinth available that can be used for prayer and meditation by student organizations or departments on campus. The school had about 290 graduate students in 2016, per the NCES. The school offers certificate, master's and doctoral degree programs in subjects including nursing, education, finance, marketing, and marriage and family therapy.
Northwest University offers a variety of career-friendly master's and doctoral degree programs, some of which are completely online to allow for flexibility. Students can choose from programs in areas such as counseling psychology, Bible and theology, education, organizational leadership, business administration and international community development. Similar to Pacific Lutheran University and Faith International University, the school had close to 290 graduate students in 2016, according to the NCES. Spiritual growth opportunities for students on campus include service projects, life groups, local and global missions and worship services.
