Pepperdine University

Pepperdine University offers an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited PsyD program in clinical psychology that is designed to be completed in 4 years. Your first 3 years consist of coursework that could touch on subjects like cognitive assessment, interviewing methods, and the social foundations of behavior. During this time, you also work on a dissertation, which is completed in your 4th year. Clinical practicums and a year-long internship are also required.

Alliant International University

Alliant International University, which is located in Alhambra in Los Angeles County, has an APA-accredited PsyD program with a focus in clinical psychology with emphasis areas in child and couples, health psychology, and cultural community-clinical psychology. California Southern University

California Southern University, which is located in Costa Mesa, offers a full-time, online PsyD program that is not accredited by APA but does lead to clinical psychologist licensure in the state of California.
