Insurance sales agents

Although they do not work directly with selling or showing homes, insurance sales agents who sell home insurance are immersed in the world of real estate. To become a home insurance sales agent, one must acquire a high school diploma, as well as required licensing. Insurance sales agents train on the job, and learn most of their duties from experienced sales agents. Daily duties include helping customers renew policies, reaching out to new clients, filling out necessary paperwork, and answering questions about new and existing insurance policies.

Appraisers and assessors of real estate

After earning a bachelor's degree and the required certifications and licensing, an individual can qualify to work as an appraiser or assessor of real estate. Because appraisers and assessors work to estimate the value of all kinds of properties, this job is a flexible position for those who are looking at entry-level real estate positions. Although the nature of their daily duties is similar, appraisers and assessors have separate goals in their work. Appraisers determine the value of individual properties, while assessors seek an estimated value of a property for the purpose of tax assessments.
