Common Entrance Requirements

Due to the somewhat complex admissions process, several Executive MBA programs in Texas begin the process by offering pre-screening opportunities and/or having students meet individually with admissions counselors to ensure that an executive program is right for them and that they qualify. Typically, students need at least a bachelor's degree and must meet a minimum requirement for work experience, which may range from about 5-10 years, depending on the program. Applicants must also demonstrate leadership/managerial experience, ability to work in teams, motivation, career progress and advancement potential. Students will usually need to include their transcripts, letters of recommendation, resume and essay responses with their application and may need to undergo an interview process.

Executive MBA programs in Texas may vary in length from about 18-24 months and usually include some kinds of domestic and/or international travel experience for hands-on learning. Some of these programs may offer an additional concentration in healthcare, but all of these programs prepare students for advanced leadership positions.
