Michigan Theology Graduate Degree Programs
You can pursue two graduate degrees at Andrews University: a PhD in Religion with a focus in theology or a Doctor of Theology (ThD). Each program requires 64 credits for graduation and typically takes full-time students five years to complete. The curriculum focuses on developing your critical-thinking skills and provides research and publication opportunities. Program admittance requirements include the following:
- PhD candidates will need a master's degree in divinity or religion, while ThD candidates will need a master's degree in divinity. You will need a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Calvin Theological Seminary
Calvin Theological Seminary offers two master's degree programs. The Master of Theological Studies degree is a 65-credit program that takes on-campus students two years to complete and three years for online students. You will take courses in areas such as Christian theology, Greek, and apologetics.
You can pursue a Master of Theology if you already have a Master of Theological Studies or Divinity. This 21-credit degree offers you the chance to specialize in an area like pastoral care, Old Testament, or systematic theology. You will need to complete this degree on-campus, which usually takes 1-2 years.
The admissions process involves an online application with a $50 fee. You will supply additional information like four references, two essays, and official transcripts.
Cornerstone University awards a Master of Theology with concentrations in the New or Old Testament. It should be noted you are only eligible for this program if you have a Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in an appropriate theological field. You will need to earn 30 credits for graduation, which includes a practicum and master's thesis. Other requirements include completing your degree within three years and maintaining a 3.0 GPA.
You will need to meet the following criteria for admission to the program:

- Illustrated proficiency in either Greek for the New Testament concentration or Hebrew for the Old Testament concentration

Western Theological Seminary
You can earn a Master of Theology at Western Theological Seminary. It is a 10-month, 25-credit program that offers areas of focus in theology, Biblical studies, or Christian ministry. The curriculum includes seminars on topics like intercultural hermeneutics and a master's thesis.
You should have a Master of Divinity or related degree and an undergraduate GPA of at least 2.5 in order to apply to the program. Sacred Heart Major Seminary
Sacred Heart Major Seminary has a 40-credit Master of Theology program. Available courses include the Human Person and Grace, Pauline Literature, and Foundations of Christian Moral Life. You will write a master's thesis in your last semester of coursework. You will need to maintain a 2.7 GPA and complete the program within six years.
