A green marketer is responsible for promoting goods and services. They specifically focus on promoting business services or products that are environmentally friendly. Part of their work involves assessing marketing and purchasing trends and how they relate to products that are classified as green. They help to determine the right target audience for the products or services that their company offers. Once they do this, green marketers work on developing marketing strategies that will appeal to the target audience.

Green marketers may also be involved in developing a brand marketing strategy for their company or the goods and services they offer. After a marketing plan has been implemented they continue to assess relevant data to determine its effectiveness. The conclusions they reach from their analysis are used to make recommendations about how to improve the marketing strategy, what products or services should be altered or other relevant business decisions.
