Description of Online High Schools in Idaho

When deciding whether or not to enroll in an online high school program, students and their parents may want to take time considering how online high school differs from traditional high school programs. Many virtual programs allow students to work at their own pace and may not require daily attendance via a login. This flexibility requires that students manage their time well and exercise more discipline in order to complete their work. Students who need constant reminders and encouragement from teachers may want to think carefully before enrolling in an online program, unless a parent or guardian plans to monitor their progress. However, the flexibility of online school may be ideal for very independent students, as well as students who are heavily involved in extracurricular activities that don't accommodate for a regular school schedule. Below, we will look at the five schools mentioned in the table in detail.

View High School is a national online private school that is available to students who live in all parts of the United States, including Idaho. When progressing through their classes, students will access coursework and content through View High School's online learning platform in which the courses are delivered by video. In addition, it may be possible for students who are interested in going to college to transfer credit that they earned while enrolled at View and receive college-level credit.
