Georgia Schools with MBA Programs in Healthcare

University of Georgia

The University of Georgia in Athens has a full-time MBA program that offers a concentration in healthcare management. Students in the concentration take courses from the College of Business and College of Public Health for 9 hours of required courses and 12 hours of electives for the concentration. The full-time MBA program requires a total of 60 credits and can be completed in 2 years. Students in the program must complete an orientation and capstone projects 3 of the 4 semesters.

Mercer University

Mercer University in Macon provides a Health Care MBA program that can be completed in 1 year. Students meet on-campus from Friday afternoon through Saturday from August through the next summer. The program follows a cohort model and includes a 1-week residency that usually takes place in Washington D.C. to allow students to learn about health care policy. Students must also complete a health care strategy capstone experience.

Berry College

Berry College in Mount Berry offers an MBA with a track in healthcare management. The part-time program has evening courses and includes some blended learning activities online. Students in the program may take some courses online and some evening courses on-campus twice a week. Students usually complete the program in about 15 months.

Valdosta State University

Valdosta State University in Valdosta provides a fully-online MBA with a concentration in healthcare administration. The program totals 36 credits and includes a healthcare administration practicum experience for hands-on learning. Students are also able to customize their degree through 9 credits of healthcare elective courses. The program can be completed in 2 years, but it should be noted that each course is only available one time every 2 years.

Common Entrance Requirements
