What Are the Indiana CORE Assessments?

Indiana requires potential educators to pass Indiana CORE Assessments before they can begin teaching. These exams are all computer-based and consist of multiple-choice questions; some include constructed-response questions as well. You can register for these exams online, and they are available on a year-round basis.

A score of 220 is required to pass each of these exams. Your test results will be available within 10-20 days, depending on the exams you completed. Take a look at the different types of Indiana CORE Assessments you might be required to take.

Skills Assessments

The CASA exam consists of three subtests that focus on reading, writing and mathematics. You can take all of the subtests in one sitting or split them up and take them at different times. To get ready for them, consider reviewing the concepts you might be tested on with the following courses.
