Public Relations Specialists

A career as a public relations specialist may be especially well suited for those with a strong influential personality type, as these professionals create and maintain a positive public image for their client. They do this by developing and implementing various campaign strategies to influence and sway public opinion in favor of a particular person, organization, product or event. Public relations specialists prepare press releases, monitor social media accounts and help their clients effectively communicate with the public. These professionals need at least a bachelor's degree.

Marketing Managers

The iD/Di personality type thrives on challenges and achievement, and therefore, a career as a marketing manager may be a good fit. This position has the challenging job of identifying potential markets for a product or service, predicting the demand for it and then working to maximize profits for the company. They accomplish this by overseeing teams of marketing and advertising staff to develop marketing plans and budgets, as well as overseeing marketing research. These managers need a bachelor's degree, and experience in the field is highly beneficial.

Art Directors

A career as an art director is another good option for the iD/Di personality type, as they collaborate with other creative minds on various projects, but also look for and oversee the bigger picture for the project. They are responsible for managing the overall visual style of different media. They may work for magazines, movies, newspapers or other media outlets. They usually make some of the final decisions on how to express a visual concept, whether through photos, art, sets and more. They must work within budgets and timelines, and coordinate efforts with other departments involved in the creative side of production. Most art directors have a bachelor's degree and background in the field in which they are working.

Natural Sciences Managers

A natural sciences manager combines the iD/Di personality type's love of collaboration with the need to accomplish results and finish projects. These managers oversee teams of scientists to coordinate research and development projects. They may work with chemists, biologists, physicists and more. They must ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing proper laboratory procedures as scientists work on testing and developing new products. They are also responsible for communicating progress and findings to top management and/or clients. Natural sciences managers usually advance to their position after years of working as a scientist, and may hold a bachelor's degree, master's degree or Ph.D. in a particular area of science.

Top Executives

A position as a top executive may appeal to the iD/Di personality type, as top executives influence and collaborate with the people around them and make the tough decisions to help an organization reach its goals. They may also like the careful management and direction of daily activities and long-term projects, and to receive a large portion of the credit as goals are met. Top executives oversee all the details of an organization, including budget activities, sales reports, contracts and more. They are constantly looking for new ways to improve policies and/or performance. These professionals need at least a bachelor's degree and many years of experience.
