These writers typically write from home and submit work online, making this a perfect position for a stay-at-home mom with a degree in English, journalism, or some type of writing. Employers tend to look for contract writers with experience and bachelor's degree to prove they can write.
Online Adjunct Professor
Online adjunct professors teach online classes to students at either fully online universities, or at universities and colleges that offer online classes. Online adjuncts perform many of the same functions that on-campus adjuncts and professors do, such as grade papers, discuss problems with individual students, and give students feedback. However, instead of lecturing in front of a class, online adjuncts participate in class discussions in their online classroom as well as post links and reading assignments. A stay-at-home mom could teach online college classes with at least a master's degree in her field.

These consultants are able to compile and analyze information, interview employees and other relevant figures, and offer solutions to money or management issues. According to the BLS, about one fifth of all management consultants are self-employed, meaning they can work from home on their own schedules. Although this can be a demanding job because income depends on generating clients, a stay-at-home mom with a bachelor's or master's degree in business management is qualified. They may find more success if they also become a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).
